Sibley County Receives Low Income Grant Funds
Sibley County has been notified that they were awarded a $35,000 grant to help low income rural residents upgrade their noncompliant septic systems. The grant comes to the county as part of the Natural Resources Block Grant administered by the Board of Water and Soil Resources.
Residents of Sibley County may apply for these funds now. For eligibility, an application and instruction materials go to the Sibley SWCD website (www.sibleyswcd.org) and click on Services and Ag BMP Loan Program for the information. You can also stop in the office at the Sibley County Courthouse, Gaylord, MN or call 507-237-4091 and ask to see Geoff Beranek.
To be eligible for the program homeowners must meet the low income guidelines set by the USDA Rural Development.
