County Assessor

The County Assessor is appointed by the Sibley County Board of Commissioners for a four-year period. The Assessor's Office is responsible for the assessment of all real, personal, and exempt property in Sibley County. Minnesota State statute 273.11 reads "All property shall be valued at its Market Value."

The Assessor's Office is ready to discuss your valuation and classification questions during office hours, which are listed to the right.

If you have questions regarding your Property Tax or Special Assessments, please contact the Sibley County Auditor's Office.

To request a Field Card please visit the Request Property Data tab on the left side.

Please see the QUICK LINKS tab on the left side of this page to view the current year Notice of Valuation.  The link will direct you to the Auditor/Treasurer Property Tax webpage.  From there, you can click on the link "Click here to View/Pay Current Year Taxes Online" and then click on "View Tax Statements/Pay Current Year Tax".  From here, you can search for the property multiple ways.   Once selecting the desired year, it will bring you to the parcel and a gray box will appear at the top right to view a pdf of the 'Current Year Value Notice'.  If you need a copy and are unable to print, please contact the Assessor's Office at 507-237-4078.

Please also see the QUICK LINKS tab to view a map of your parcel in GIS using the link "GIS Interactive Map of Parcels".

Annual Reassessment Notice:  State law requires that Assessor's office staff view properties at least once every five years for property tax assessment purposes.  If your property is scheduled to be inspected this year, you should be receiving a postcard in the mail this spring describing our process.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call the Assessor's Office at 507-237-4078 or email us at
