December 28 2015 Energy Efficiency Program Now Available in Sibley County
Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) is a financing tool for businesses, including agri-business, as well as non-profits, including churches, with improvements to existing facilities that substantially increase energy efficiency. Project examples may include, but do not limit the following: LED lights, HVAC, Heating, Cooling, Insulation, Windows, Refrigeration, etc.
The Rural MN Energy Board (RMEB) PACE program serves the 18-county RMEB area including Sibley County.
PACE allows for improvements to be made without up-front capital outlay. Loans are paid back via property taxes. The increase in their property taxes is offset by the decrease in energy costs so that the business sees no change in their bottom line.
Applications are accepted on a continual basis. For an online copy of the brochure and application, please visit http://www.rmeb.org/pace.htm. An energy audit (completed by an approved PACE energy auditor) must accompany the application.
PACE can be the sole funder for projects or can nicely wrap around primary lender financing, rebates or grants.
Please contact Robin at 507-836-1638 or via e-mail at email@example.com if you have questions about the PACE program.
